Special features

The material polyurethane, PUR for short, opens up a wide range of possibilities. PUR not only offers designers extensive design and construction freedom, but also has particularly favourable material properties that are important for medical applications: for example, low weight, electronic shielding capability, chemical resistance, ease of cleaning and sound insulation. Added to this is the favourable cost structure of the PUR process, which has a particularly positive effect on the small quantities of a few hundred to a few thousand parts per year that are common in medical technology.
